Q Night at the Movies presents two feature films! First, the Mike Nichols directed apadation of Carrie Fisher's book Postcards From the Edge, starring Meryl Streep and Shirley MacLaine. Second is 1970's critical darling and early vehicle for Jack Nicholson, Five Easy Pieces. Before the movies we hear about HBO's recently wrapped Veep. After the features, learn more about the storied career of director John Huston. It all starts at 7:30 p.m. Saturday on Q.

On Story at 7:30 p.m. Veep showrunner David Mandel talks about developing characters for Veep and bringing the story to a close.

Feature Film 1 Postcards From the Edge at 7:59 p.m. Based on the book by Carrie Fisher, this semi-autobiographical film follows Suzanne Vale as she transitions out of a life of drug dependency with the help of her mother.

Feature Film 2 Five Easy Pieces at 9:35 p.m. Rejecting his cultured upper-class background as a classical pianist, Robert Dupea (Jack Nicholson) opts for a blue-collar existence, working in a California oil field and spending time with his waitress girlfriend, Rayette (Karen Black). But when Robert discovers that his father is gravely ill, he wants to reunite with his estranged family in the state of Washington. He and Rayette take a road trip that brings the two paths of his life to an uncomfortable intersection.
