Black History Bike Ride Goes to Galveston

Black History Bike Ride Goes to Galveston

To honor Juneteenth, we're excited to share an airing of The Route to Emancipation. This special follows three friends who host Black History Bike Ride, an Austin bike group that takes cyclists to see historical Black sites around town, on a 350-mile bike route from the Texas Capitol to the site where Juneteenth began in 1865. On the way, they stop to reflect on centuries of Black history in Texas while also looking to the future. Airs Friday, June 19th at 10PM or watch anytime on the PBS App.
