Do You Know a Young Writer Who Creates Amazing Stories?

Let them know we’re looking for students in Kindergarten through 5th grade to submit their most exciting story in English or Spanish! All entries will be published on the Austin PBS website and finalists will be invited to a special ceremony where they’ll have a chance to read their original piece on the Studio A stage! Check out stories from previous years for inspiration and submit your child’s before March 31st.

Available exclusively on Austin PBS, The Julia Ideson Building: Celebrating 100 Years tells the story of a trailblazing woman who helped create the public library system in Texas and oversaw the creation of one of the most iconic buildings in the state. See the broadcast premiere on Monday, March 16th at 9PM.

Narrated by Colin Farrell, this special tells the fascinating history of an island people who have triumphed with great spirit in the face of adversity. 6 million people live on the island of Ireland, but over 80 million people worldwide say they are Irish. Airs Sunday, March 15th at 2:30PM.
