Made in Texas Presents: The Kicker
Fred Bednarski led quite the life. After being moved to a Nazi forced-labor camp as a child, his family was liberated and immigrated to the United States. He then became the first soccer-style kicker in college football at The University of Texas, joined the Army, and was sent by President Kennedy to Oxford, Mississippi to help protect James Meredith as the first African-American student at Ole Miss.
