Mr. Strauss is a Senior Managing Director of Peak Rock Capital, a private investment firm based in Austin, TX with over $4 billion in assets under management. Mr. Strauss has led many of the firm’s investments in the Food and Beverage, Packaging, and Industrial sectors and serves on the Board of Directors of numerous portfolio companies. He has extensive experience helping family founded businesses and corporate carve outs grow revenue and expand margins through transformational facility expansions, revitalized commercial and product strategies and enhanced operational execution.
Mr. Strauss possesses over 20 years of private equity investing experience, having previously worked at Aurora Resurgence, Insight Equity and Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst. Mr. Strauss began his career working in the investment banking divisions of Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette and Salomon Smith Barney.
Mr. Strauss received a master’s degree in business administration from Stanford University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Texas at Austin.
In addition to serving on the Board of Directors of Austin PBS, Mr. Strauss also serves on the Board of Trustees for St. Andrew’s Episcopal School of Austin and on the Advisory Council of the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas.
