Volunteer with Austin PBS

Give back to your neighborhood by volunteering your time to support Austin’s only community-supported public television station.

Join the Austin PBS Family

Volunteering at Austin PBS is a great way to make connections in your community, have fun and show your support for public television! Austin PBS counts on loyal volunteers to help us greet guests during special events, help thank your neighbors through donor mailings and assist with other station activities.

How You Can Help

Austin PBS Special Events

Throughout the year, Austin PBS hosts a number of unique events. From exclusive screenings and panel discussions to educational events and local productions, Austin PBS depends on volunteers at these events that entertain, inspire and inform our community and beyond.

Austin PBS Office Support

Work behind-the-scenes with Austin PBS's Development staff! We rely on the help of generous volunteers to assist with office-related activities throughout the year. We often need assistance with assembling donor mailings to ensure we keep in touch with our valued supporters. We occasionally seek help making phone calls to donors during 'Thank-a-thons,' as well as packing and organizing Austin PBS thank-you gifts.

Digital Originals Grant Winners

Austin PBS is excited to announce the winners of the Digital Originals Grant. This grant is one of the many ways we’re able to support creators and storytellers on their journeys to make quality local content that’s accessible to our entire community. We had over 200 incredible submissions this year with a wide range of subject matters based around Central Texas, but had to choose only two winners to receive funding to finish these limited series.
