It's Day ONE of KLRU's FIVE Day, Online Only Fund Drive. The countdown to our goal of $100,000 has begun and we only have until this Friday to get there!

And for the first time ever, KLRU is giving back a percentage of each gift we receive toward distributing Summer Adventure Kits to area youth in need. Our goal is lofty! We must raise $25 per kit, and we hope to give out 2,000 by the end of June! These Summer Adventure Kits — full of fun activities and outdoor projects — will help bridge the "summer slump" by encouraging kids to turn off the screens and turn on their imaginations!

During the $2,500 matching challenge from KLRU Business Supporter RetailMeNot, your gift will double the number of Summer Adventure Kits we hand out! RetailMeNot supports KLRU's educational work and they are committed to creating scholarly and engaging opportunities for our local kids. When you help KLRU raise $2,500 for 100 kits, RetailMeNot will donate another $2,500 for another 100 kits. That's up to 200 Summer Adventure Kits toward our 2,000 goal!

So where do you come in? KLRU is only as strong as our community support, so consider how much you value public television in Central Texas and contribute what you can. From your favorite programs that you tune into week after week to the on-the-ground outreach KLRU provides local children and families, we are a dynamic neighborhood space from which everyone benefits.
