Introducing Donkey Hodie!

Posted on Apr 26, 2021

Premiering this month is the brand new PBS KIDS's show Donkey Hodie. Set in the whimsical land of Someplace Else, this imaginative social-emotional series centers on the adventures of Donkey Hodie, granddaughter of the Donkey Hodie character from Mister Rogers' Neighborhood (now known as “Grampy Hodie”). The original puppet appeared in 59 episodes of the beloved children’s program.

The colorful Donkey Hodie includes catchy songs that reinforce enthusiasm and positive messages with the mission of helping young viewers navigate the challenges of childhood. The series features new music along with reimagined versions of Mister Rogers’ songs. Kids will learn about perseverance, resilience and problem-solving, while enjoying plenty of silliness along the way.

Geared for children ages 3-5

Play with shadows, control the weather, roll and slide objects down a ramp and choose the best materials for an umbrella. This app builds science inquiry skills and teaches core science concepts. The included games are intentionally designed to serve as catalysts for real-world exploration by modeling real-world locations and experiences. The related hands-on activities and parent notes prompt families to “try it” at home.
