For as long as I can remember, PBS has been a part of my life. As a child, I have fond memories of watching shows such as Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood and Square One. These programs were warm, thought-provoking and great conversation starters. In my family, PBS was synonymous with quality and education, which made my parents comfortable letting us tune in.

A generation later, my husband Adam and I feel the same way. As parents to two little kids, we try to avoid watching a lot of television. But one show we absolutely love is Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood. There are so many wonderful life lessons for both adults and children. We are grateful for the PBS KIDS programming we watch on Austin PBS and for the positive impact it has on our family.

When we learned how that positive impact could extend to more families in Central Texas through Austin PBS’s move to Austin Community College Highland, we knew we wanted to be involved. That's why Adam and I are thrilled to offer a $50,000 Charter Member Matching Challenge to boost the shortened August Fund Drive and support all the trusted PBS programming you and your family rely on.
