Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as a day to encourage good works and charitable contributions. It has since grown into a global movement of real impact. In past years, Austin PBS shared how wonderful it feels to give back after the indulgences of Thanksgiving and holiday shopping. But this year, people might not be in that heady, overfed, post-consumer space. It's a quieter year of social distancing and staying as safe as possible. But generosity has the power to lift our spirits. For Giving Tuesday 2020, we all need to lift up together.
