Q Night at the Movies presents From Here to Eternity, the star-studded darling of 1953, honored with eight Academy Awards, including for supporting cast members Frank Sinatra and Donna Reed. Before the movie we hear from famed filmmaker Lawrence Kasdan. After the feature, following Montgomery Clift's turn as a bugler, we learn more about the real life and times of beloved trombonist Glenn Miller as we celebrate his music and investigate his unsolved disappearance during WWII. It all starts at 7:30 p.m. Saturday on Q.

On Story at 7:30 p.m. Screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan recalls the creative process behind some of his films, which include The Big Chill and The Empire Strikes Back.

Feature Film From Here to Eternity at 8 p.m. At an Army barracks in Hawaii in the days preceding the attack on Pearl Harbor, lone-wolf soldier and boxing champion "Prew" Prewitt (Montgomery Clift) refuses to box, preferring to play the bugle instead. Hard-hearted Capt. Holmes (Philip Ober) subjects Prew to a grueling series of punishments while, unknown to Holmes, the gruff but fair Sgt. Warden (Burt Lancaster) engages in a clandestine affair with the captain's mistreated wife (Deborah Kerr).

A Glenn Miller Swing Celebration Featuring the USAF Band at 10 p.m. Vocalists and Broadway dancers join the United States Air Force Band to pay tribute to Glenn Miller on the 75th anniversary of his disappearance over the English Channel; songs include "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" and "Chattanooga Choo Choo."
