High School Quiz Show: Austin brings the excitement of a game show to academic competition. Eight high school teams from across Central Texas compete in fast-paced rounds covering everything from science and history to literature, math, and current events.

Meet the Host : Joe Hanson
Joe Hanson, Ph.D., is a science writer, biologist, educator, and internationally recognized YouTube creator. He is the creator and host of Be Smart, an award-winning science education show from PBS that celebrates curiosity and the pleasure of finding things out. He received his Ph.D. in cell and molecular biology from the University of Texas at Austin, and his science writing has been published in WIRED, Nautilus, Scientific American, Texas Monthly, and more.
