Copywriting Intern Summer 2024

Job Overview:

As part of the team, you will draft and edit marketing copy across the organization and for Austin PBS shows like Overheard with Evan Smith, Central Texas Gardener, and Austin City Limits. You will gain experience on a marketing team working on the creation of multi-platform content.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Draft and edit a diverse range of messages to various audiences across emails, social media, websites, press releases and printed materials.
  • Draft and edit internal communications, marketing presentations, staff bios, and more.
  • Adhere to brand voice guidelines in the development of marketing copy.
  • Collaborate with teams across Austin PBS.
  • Other tasks assigned on a project-by-project basis
  • Effectively engage diverse perspectives and experiences in work products and in organizational interactions, and demonstrate respect for others in all workplace relationships.
  • Support an equitable, diverse and inclusive work environment.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Undergraduate student, enrolled in courses during the duration of the internship
  • Student must be available to commit to a minimum of 8 weeks (June-August) for this internship
  • Internship will be in person/hybrid
  • 15-20 hour a week commitment
  • Writing samples are required for consideration

Physical Demands

The working conditions are primarily a general office setting. Some light travels to the office.
